We met up with our travelling buddies for the first two weeks - Lyn and Tony - at the Rustic Cabin just off the highway bright and early. First stop Kilcoy via Beerwah and Peachester. No highway driving for us! Beautiful scenic drive.
Cruised through Dalby, to Chinchilla for lunch at the Commercial Hotel, where "old mate" who was three sheets to the wind tried to buy my lunch for me :)
Onwards through Roma. quick stop roadside to collect some firewood with Tony's trusty chainsaw (Dez looking on enviously!) Overnight at Muckadilla (love these outback town names). Fantastic free camp, complete with hot showers! A few refreshments around the campfire! Really feeling GREAT!
